Fuzzibunz shaped pocket nappy (2007 version) |
A stay dry fleece liner covers the entire inside of the nappy and wicks moisture into the insert inside the pocket, naturally locking the wetness away from the babies skin.
Best to also use a separate liner to aid easy disposal of soiling and protect the nappy from stains. For maximum dryness use a fleece liner
Slim, lightweight and very quick to dry. Stays lovely and soft without the use of a tumble dryer even in hard water areas. Popper fastening - good choice of positions - provides excellent fit throughout the age range.
The pockets are sold without inserts but you can buy inserts separately if required.
Some babies as they get older (usually when they are moving into the medium size) start to wet too heavily for this nappy. At this point you may need to switch onto a more absorbent two part nappy.

How to use
Place the pad into the wrap. If folding the pad to make it smaller for a younger baby then place any overlap at the front of the nappy for a boy and at the back for a girl. If using a flushable liner place the liner on top of the pad and tuck the edges under the pad. If using a Fleece liner just place it on top of the pad. The stay dry pad has a built in fleece top layer but you may also want to use a separate fleece liner. Then fasten the nappy round your baby. As your baby grows you can unpopper the front of the nappy to increase the height and size of the wrap.
When you change your baby you will often only need to change the inner pad and therefore use the waterproof wrap again. The wrap will need to be washed if it is soiled or been used overnight or if it has been used a few times and needs freshening up. This is reflected in our discount pack prices - please see above.
Heaver wetters/use at night
If your baby is generally a heavier wetter or goes through a heavier wetting phase you may need extra absorbency. You will also usually need more absorbency to ensure you have a leak free night. If you are already using organic pads then add a stay dry pad. If you are using stay dry pads then add an organic pad. Wrap the organic pad round the stay dry pad. You may also need to adjust the wrap to be one size larger to accommodate this extra absorbency.
